Coercive prompting cannot force a model to produce what it cannot reason.
Escalating prompt pressure—ALL CAPS, repetition, threats of "penalties," or roleplay coercion—does not improve reasoning. It increases compliance theater: the model produces the form of the desired output without the substance. If the model lacks the capability, no prompt engineering can create it. The task must be reshaped or the model changed.
