Manual intervention cannot sustain an agent loop. Automation must be end-to-end.
Systems that require human approval at every tool call, or human correction of every intermediate output, are not agentic—they are expensive chat interfaces. The harness must encode decision logic sufficiently that the loop runs autonomously for meaningful durations. Human checkpoints should be reserved for irreversible operations or detected anomalies, not for routine steps.
